General information

Bâtiment 503, Institut d'Optique Graduate School's centre for entrepreneurship and innovation.

When ?

The school begins on the morning of Monday, July 7, and ends on Friday, July 11 at noon.

Accommodation will be available from Sunday, July 6 to Saturday, July 12.

Where ?

The conference will be held at the Paris-Saclay University, the largest research campus in France, located 20 km south of Paris. This location is an ideal mix of city and country, with Paris easy to get to for cultural or scientific tours, and the woods just next door, easily available for an autumn walk.

The lectures and seminars will take place at the Institut d'Optique's centre for entrepreneurship and innovation also known as "Bâtiment 503" with the offical adress: 503 rue John Von Neumann, 91400 Orsay (France).

Public transportation to the hotel

Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Massy-Palaiseau:

Take the RER B train towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and get off at Massy-Palaiseau. 

Orly Airport (ORY) to Massy-Palaiseau:

Take the Orlyval shuttle train to Antony station. From Antony, take the RER B train towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and get off at Massy-Palaiseau.

Massy-Palaiseau to the hotel:

Once you arrive at the Massy-Palaiseau station, exit the station and head to the bus station located just outside. Look for the bus number 91.06 (Christ / N306, Saclay / GARE DE MASSY PALAISEAU, Massy) direction "Christ de Saclay" and board the bus.

Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes and get off at the "Place Marguerite Perey" bus stop.

The hotel is within walking distance (about 1 min) from the bus stop. Use a map/navigation app to locate the hotel.

How to get from the hotel to Bâtiment 503:

You can first take bus nr. 91-06, which departs from the "Place Marguerite Perey" bus stop and get off at "Université Paris Saclay". From there you have two options: a 10-15 minute walk covering a distance of 1 km or taking a second bus, nr. 7 (Gare D'orsay Ville L'yvette), to the "De Broglie" stop.

Accommodation

Lecturers and participants will be accommodated at the Aparthotel Adagio Access Palaiseau (6 Boulevard Gaspard Monge, 91120 Palaiseau) about 3 km from the conference location. A number of rooms will be booked by the ISL (Institute for the Sciences of Light): please state if you require accomodation when you apply.

Double rooms (with separate single beds) may be shared by 2 attendees. There is a possibility of choosing a single room, however, an extra fee of 300 € will be charged. Rooms are booked from Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning (6 nights). We will confirm if your choice of accommodation is availble when we accept your application.
